The launch of the Innovation Lounge at the Irish Water Waste & Environment Show in March 2008 provided a first step for industry and academia to work closer together on environmental research projects.
Projects that will be viewable at the Innovation Lounge 2009 on stand C77 inlcude;
Colm McGee - Sexual disruption in roach sampled downstream of sewerage plants
Sheila Greene - Phosphorus-induced impairment of aquatic ecosystems: evaluating and predicting spatial differences in vulnerability and recovery
The newly branded resource Irish Water Waste & Environment Show and recover Irish Recycling & Waste Management show will continue this poster exhibition, once again providing universities, institutes of technology and non-commercial research centres the opportunity to display their latest research projects for free.
All posters submitted should contain contact information and will be displayed in the Innovation Lounge where they are easy accessible to all visitors and exhibitors to Resource & Recover. The exhibitions will be held on 24-25 March 2009 at the Simmonscourt in
The poster exhibition gives academics the opportunity to make the industry aware of their work and gives them the chance to find commercial investors into projects and new technologies.
Relevant research projects could cover the following fields:
· Water treatment
· Sewage treatment
· Quality monitoring
· Recycling Technologies
· MBT or Anaerobic Digestion
· Air or noise pollution
· Environmental Management
· Carbon reduction and climate change
